Gopabandhu Swastya Kalyan Yojana (GSKY)
Aim & Objective
The scheme aims to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to the people of Odisha, especially to those who are economically disadvantaged or belong to vulnerable sections of society.
Features
It is a health assurance scheme launched by the Government of Odisha in the year 2018 and implemented in AIIMS Bhubaneswar since July 2019.
Eligibility & Target Groups
All families having BSKY Smart Health Cards issued by the Government of Odisha and all families covered under NFSA/SFSS within the State of Odisha are eligible beneficiaries under this scheme. BSKY Smart Health Card is valid till the names of the family members are there in the NFSA/SFSS database.
Treatment Coverage & Benefits
Under this scheme, a health insurance coverage of up to ₹5 lakhs per family per year is given. In case of male family member, it is up to ₹5 lakhs and for female family member, it is up to ₹10 lakhs.
Procedure to Apply & Documents Required
- After admission, the patient or his/her attendant shall come to BSKY cell for checking patient’s eligibility online.
- Once eligible, the patient or his/her attendant will be given a Pre-authorization form along with Medicine & consumable proforma.
- Pre-authorization form and Medicine & consumable proforma need to be filled in by the treating Doctor.
- The patient or his/her attendant has to come to BSKY cell with above forms along with Bedside file, Ration card/BSKY card and Aadhaar card.
- BSKY cell shall scan all the documents and send Medicine & consumable proforma to Amrit pharmacy for estimation.
- Once estimation is done, all the necessary documents will be uploaded in portal and OTP/IRIS verification of the patient will be done for approval.
- On approval, the patient or his/her attendant will be directed to collect medicines and consumables from Amrit pharmacy.
- At the time of discharge, the patient or his/her attendant has to report to BSKY cell with Bedside file for submission of post treatment documents for discharge from the portal.
- Once discharged, the patient will be given his/her BSKY card back
*In emergency cases, the procedure may be performed and intimated to the BSKY cell within 24 hours of the procedure to get post-approval.
Documents
- Original Ration Card/BSKY Card.
- Original Aadhaar Card of the patient/Birth certificate, if the patient is a minor and is below five (05) years of age.
- Pre-authorization form along with Medicine & consumable proforma duly signed by the treating doctor (only faculties).
- All the investigation reports along with the duly filled-in case sheet (for indoor patients).
